If i take loan then what will be profit margin after payment of installment? Is there any government scheme for dairy farmers? Whose permission are needed for opening a dairy farm? Please help me. Answer - Indian Dairy Farmer 1.You can assume the cow cost as 25 to 30 k each,on the higher side 2.for 10 cows you need min 3 acres of land for continuous production of pasture 3.Ensure plenty of water resources, preferably bore wells 4.Shed construction cost for twenty cows will be approximately 2.5 lakhs(10 cows come with 10 heifers) 5. Equipment cost around 1 lakh 6.Initial investment of your money is suggested 7.Nothing permissions as such 8.Break even period will be Min 2 years 9.Profit Margin depends on whether you sell it on your own or sell to a dairy.
