Question--or debate.. either way could use some advice lol Is it a mean mom move to pack up and sell the toys ive been asking Jordan to pick up for the last 4+ weeks?!? Sooo sick of fighting and fighting only to do it myself... and this has been going on for the last year with the same toys... He has toy boxes, and he knows where they should be ( which is anywhere but strewn across his room in random places including under the blankets on his bed :/ ) and its ONLY 3 larger items.. so it would take literally less than 30 seconds to simply put them away yet... Last week we put our foot down and told him if he did not clean them up on his own by Wednesday we would sell them to someone who would appreciate them.. they are still all over his floor, but these are also his fave toys... Weve done the pack em up and hide em in the garage thing and it works.. but not for long after he gets them back no matter how long weve held them hostage..... tired of being yelled at when i ask him to clean it up, tired of making him clean those specific toys up... And its not like they are constantly played with. I put them away, he plays with them for an hour, then they are left out all over the place for up to.. well.. when i decide to clean them up. Were so stuck on just how to handle this, and wel.. were kinda pushed into a wall here. Either we give in--again, or stand our ground, which means selling his fave toys.. argh!!! Opinions Mamas? ( and Daddies opinions welcome as well ;) ) When is it time for mean mom rules to be enforced?
