Question #5 of the Ask Mr. Millbrook a Question series: How strong are these glass boats that you make? Answer: Each canoe is created using a space age, scientifically calculated combination of 6oz. S type fiberglass, 5oz. Kevlar, and 2mm Soric LRC placed in strategic locations as reinforcement. S glass is a lot stronger than cheaper E glass. When your boat does eventually break, and it will, typically the outer layers of S glass will fracture first. You may not even see any damage on the inside. hence, the beauty of Kevlar, able to absorb impact before it breaks. So, to answer the question, i would say they are stronger than you think! But, I suggest going around rocks instead of through them.
