Question: Is being very obsessed with the Twilight Saga and/or horror movies a sin? Answer: Emphatically yes. If you are obsessed, that means you have strong interest in the Twilight Saga or horror movies (things like this). If you are so much interested in them, then here is your problem (two things): number one, these are films or materials that are capable of introducing fear – fear of the unknown, fear of the spiritual, fear of witches and so on and so forth. These things have the capacity to introduce fear into your life, into your spirit. Fear is the opposite of faith. God doesn’t want you to introduce fear into your spirit, so you have to be careful. Often, those who engage in these materials start having nightmares over a period of time. It may not happen the first year; it may not even happen in the third year; it may not even happen in the fifth year, but somewhere down the line, this will fill their dreams. It’s just a matter of time, so you have to be careful. If it doesn’t happen to them, it happens to their children. So, you are introducing into your own life these demonic activities that will eventually rule your life. The right thing to do is turn away from them, because they dignify satanic forces, satanic powers. They dignify them, and you should never dignify Satan. Sometimes, you see,(remember this) they can show a witch as a good and helpful personality, and these things never happen. A witch will never be a helpful personality. In the Bible, from the Old Testament to the New Testament, God condemns witchcraft and so, why would anybody present witchcraft in a way that dignifies that craft? Something is wrong; something is wrong. Keep these things away from yourself: interest in vampires and all of that kind of stuff; a Christian should not engage in them. You are dignifying the devil; you are introducing fear into your life, and this will begin to work against your faith. Remember, God has got angels. Why don’t you meditate on that? There is a material that talks a lot about angels, and that’s the word of God. So, stay with God’s word; use your imaginations, and He will also give you visions and that will be much, much better, rather than introducing these things into your life. So, is it sinful to engage in them? Yes, because you are introducing the forces of the enemy into your life and creating a stronghold against the things of God, and that’s going to give you a big problem sooner or later.
