Question! Playing a game where I want to push lanes (as Singed) while team is team fighting. However, whenever my team goes into a team fight, they ping me (yes, me specifically) several times to come help to the point if I ignore them, Ill be a bad teammate. So instead of pushing, I follow teams into fights. Towards the end of the game and we have one lane fully open with no Nexus turrets, so super Minions are coming down it. I stay to push said lane and get them out of the base. Team pings for team fight. Considering past actions where they constantly pester me until I come, I leave lane and come help them warning in the comments that bot needs pushing. We win team fight, but in the midsts, Caitlin goes through bot lane and destroys our Nexus. Team blames me for leaving the lane. I explained to them that I left lane because they continually pinged me for other team fights and they said that I shouldve stayed despite what I thought the team wanted. In my past, a person doing what they want despite what the team wants has lost many games. I realize that me leaving lane is what lost us the game, but was I wrong to follow my teams lead? In another situation, I couldve stayed there and my team would lose the team fight also costing us the game. Is it better for me to trust my instincts, like the team said, or listen to the teams decision, like I thought I was supposed to do.
