Question, a few weeks ago my son who is in the fourth grade who is the child who had CI, his teacher asked me for documentation from a dr that he actually had this and and had been diagnosed. So my eye dr faxed a letter to his school. Today I received a phone call from the school counselor who has a 504 meeting set up for early Dec for him. Were in Tx. My first grader has hearing loss so I have done a 504 meeting before but very new and very recent. I knew exactly what he needed because the Ent told me. Does any of your children have any accommodations in place at school for your child? This is a very new diagnosis and we are just happy to finally have some answers! But he is struggling a lot at school more so than he did last year. None of it behavior just with the work and reading anything that involves reading of course. He stays stressed and nervous all the time. Any advice is welcomed thanks in advance!
