Question about grand juries. Almost everyone I have known for a long time has been called to serve on juries, but never on a grand jury. From what pool are grand jurors drawn? I remember reading an article many years ago that mentioned, almost as an aside, that grand juries are typically drawn from insiders in the criminal justice system, such as the family members of police officers and employees of the district attorneys office, as well as others who work closely with police. Is this true? If so, it would explain why there are so few indictments of police officers on brutality charges. #Ferguson #grandjury #nobill
