Question for Barry and others who believe free will is faithful to the bible. God speaks of our flesh many many times. I read through Romans 6, 7 and 8 and noticed how God said we are to live in the Spirit and not in the Flesh. It occured to me that my will is the flesh, and in the mind or Spirit of God is given to us by God but not everyone has the Holy Spirit in them to live by the Spirit. There are so many verse to quote. But do you see the flesh is our own free will. This haromizes with the scripture, God wills us to do of His good pleasure. Only if God first saves us can we live in the Spirit. It is impossible to live in the Spirit in our flesh or our will. Which is why God said, in John 1:12-13 that not of the will of the flesh, nor of will of blood , nor the will of man , but of God. Like · · Unfollow Post · 12 minutes ago Eric A Estibeiro likes this. Bill Crider Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of the One having raised Jesus from the dead ones dwells i you, the One having raised teh Christ from the dead ones will also give life to your mortal bodies through the indwelling of His Spirit in you. So it is only if The Holy Spirit dwells in us can we live in the spirit and not in the flesh, therefore, man cannot except God on Gods terms because man is in the flesh until God first saves him. 8 minutes ago · Like Bill Crider Romans 7:18 For I know that in me , that is in my flesh, dwells no good. For to will is present to me, but to fully work that good thing I do not find. 6 minutes ago · Like Bill Crider Romans 7:24-25 O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of htis death? 25) I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord! SO then I myself with the mind truly serve the Law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin. The flesh is our free will. God made us in His image and in our flesh is our free will which will sin every single time, It will rebel every single time, there is no good in our flesh. Our will is tainted with sin from our birth to our death. But If God dwells in us then we have hope of eternal life through Christ, not in what we say or do, but in God our Savior Jesus Christ and what He did. about a minute ago · Edited · Like
