Question for the group. A couple of weeks ago I made a post asking for a dog breeder in MO because our 3 week old Great Dane died suddenly while playing in the yard with my 4 year old. We stopped the search when the breeder decided to replace the puppy with one from their next litter. When the puppy died we drove it to the 24 Hour hospital here in St. Louis MO and got a full necropsy done on the pup. The results came back inconclusive for COD. They recently had a pup that did not get picked up and offered it to us as a replacement, which was awesome that we did not have to wait 9 months for a new puppy. All we had to do was send over the vets necropsy report to show it was not our fault and then we could pick up the puppy. Today they got the report and stated that they would not be replacing the puppy because the reported stated toxic ingestion and green plant matter in his stomach. Floored that the vet would tell us one thing and report the other I called and had them explain it to me. I does say toxic ingestion, only it says R/O Toxic Ingestion, or Ruled Out. After bringing this to her attention, she is now saying the puppy will not be replaced because the report does not say breeder error. Do I have grounds to issue a buyers beware for a member/breeder of this group?
