Question from a #boymom: Any boymoms of onlies out there who can offer advice, encouragement, godly wisdom? My only is almost 17, is 64 tall, 270 lbs, just a hair taller than his dad, and totally wrapped up in the college football recruiting process as he approaches his Sr year of high school. Being that dad played college ball, Im feeling more like the 3rd wheel now than ever before. Not to mention that due to their physical size, anytime we ride as a family together in the car, I opt to scrunch in the back seat alone so the big guys can have leg room up front, but talk about setting myself up for even more isolation! Occasionally, Ill try to bring up a non-sports topic, but thats met with lil enthusiasm. Whats a boymom to do? Lonely in the backseat and in family life...
