Question from a fan: I have a question for you: I finished chemo, my numbers are fantastic and I was all happy. Then I went for a CT scan yesterday and met a woman w the same birthday as me, so we started talking. She is terminal, going for chemo to keep it at bay. She kept saying things like dont rely on the numbers, mine were good too and telling me its never over because it almost always comes back. Then I find out that two of my friends are stage four, and see other people younger than me dying of cancer. I dont know if its survivors guilt, or reality or what Im feeling, maybe PTSD. Just feeling less certain that Im coming out of the worst if it, and I can plan a life again. Have any of you survivors gone through this? How did you overcome these feelings of fear and dread that come out of nowhere?
