Question from mummy: Am currently on total breastfeeding (latch) & girl is 1 yo, with 5 teeth as of now. Have been having cracked nipples problem (on and off) I think most prob due to her teeth. Have been using Sodium Fusidate (a steroid cream) whenever the cracked nipple is pretty bad. But since I have been using it on and off (& for quite long periods at times eg 2-3 wks to completely heal), now Im abit concerned if the cream might in any way reach the breast milk (through the bad crack or going into within the skin)? Usually I rinse my nipple pretty thoroughly before I latch on, in fear of her swallowing the cream. I use it daily twice, as per instructed by the doctor then. Any mommies have cracked nipples problem too & same/similar experience? Or can share with me your thoughts? Tia! *If you have any questions you would like to get our readers opinion on, please pm us.
