Question from someone who probably thinks too much. It is clearly written in Scripture that if we deny Jesus before men He will deny us before the Heavenly Father. The implication is impending doom. Yet Peter denied Jesus 3 times and was restored. Can someone give me their thoughts on this biblical paradox? Could It be that Peter showed remorse afterward, thus received forgiveness? Could it be that those who deny Jesus will face impending doom only if they continue in their denial and show no remorse, thus getting forgiveness because they stumbled during a temporary moment of weakness rather than a continuing state of denial?
