Question of the Day What if we grow weary in doing - TopicsExpress

Question of the Day What if we grow weary in doing good? Great question and we know this will happen. We are human. Just as we can become physically and emotionally tired, we can also become spiritually tired. The clue is preventative maintenance. Like a vehicle, fix small areas daily so to avoid a major spiritual breakdown. Daily maintenance is simply setting aside a time daily to rest in the Lord with prayer, praise, and reading His Word. I know it may seem impossible to find time in todays busy lifestyles. This is a serious weakness in our defences against spiritual attacks. The enemy loves to take on a Christian who is too busy to stay prayed up, fasted up, and read up. Often we pray after we are under fire, but our shield of faith is weak from a lack of maintenance, and those fiery darts hurl right into our soul. Our belt of truth is buried in the laundry. We become confused and blame God for the lack of readiness. Our dusty sword is laying on the end table where we tossed it after last Sundays service. We rush to gather this neglected armor and end up short a breastplate of righteousness. Our heart is wide open for a kill strike. Dont go another day wearing ragged, rusted and incomplete armor. Make time in your daily life to read, pray, and worship the Lord. God promises to renew our strength. But that promise is to those who wait on the Lord. Waiting doesnt mean doing nothing. It means reading, praying, and worshipping IN His presence WHILE you wait for God to reveal Himself to you. THIS ALONE builds that shield of faith. This is the key to not growing weary. Resting in the Lords presence. Keep trusting and hoping in Jesus. The bible says in Isaiah 40:31 those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. NLT Look to God, pray and seek Him in the Word, worship Jesus, DAILY and He will refresh and renew your strength. by Donna Wright
