Question of the day, do you think this is Ok? OK many of us have used backpage for years to advertise, but recently they changed their credit card processing service to one outside the US. So now when you agree to pay 7 bucks for a ad, they later go back and charge you .28 cents for a international processing fee, it shows up on my bank statement as INTERNATIONAL TRANSACTION FEE BP Classified 19726438509 /GBR GB Notice that this is not a real number that you can contact them. So I called backpage as their number is 214-757-8489 and left a message but they never returned my call, so I email backpage and they say these fees are to be expected and I told them its ILLEGAL to charge people more than stated and that they agreed to pay. So the question is it illegal to later charge an additional processing fee that has not been disclosed? Is it fair that backpage is pushing off their own processing fees on to their consumers.
