Question please to all those kind people who follow DB Security . What does it take to persuade a person who has just bought a property to change the locks to said property . Your house is generally your most expensive and valuable possession in financial terms and yet in my opinion and more importantly experience , we are generally either apathetic at best or just downright stupid to not change the locks at the time of purchase so that we have key control over that asset that we all work so hard for . If you consider cost against benefit it is an absolute no brainier . I read recently that the average cost , if that exists, to move is around 10 k made up of fee,s to estate agents , solicitors. , removers , etc etc etc . Why then are so few people prepared to spend 150 to 200 pounds to change the locks?. I would be really interested to get as many opinions on this as possible so please share this post with your friends . Comments and ideas are always appreciated . Many thanks David
