Question to the published or self-published authors among us: What is the point of taking a nom de plume (dont you just love to say these words the way English speaking people do? - I do, but that was not the reason for this post just a bit of digression on my part), so, whats the point of changing your name only to let the entire world who really wrote the book? J.K. Rowling has written 2 books under the Richard Galbraith moniker while making sure we knew it was her writing! What was the point of that? Same with Sophie Kinsella and Madeleine Wickham (for the longest time I never knew they were one and the same and was perfectly happy not knowing! Is it purely a question a money, as I suspect, and if so, why bother at all? Please enlighten me!
