Questions about whether the #NDP misled the House of Commons about its satellite party offices will likely be on the agenda Thursday when the Procedure and House Affairs committee meets. PROC is scheduled to hear from Speaker Andrew Scheer and deputy clerk Mark Bosc on the Commons budget but recent allegations that the New Democrats werent forthcoming with the chamber about the use of taxpayers resources might influence the questions lobbed in their direction. The clerk of the House Audrey OBrien, who said in an email sent to PROC members that she had no knowledge of the NDPs Montreal office, is on a last minute medical leave. OBrien told her senior management team on Friday that she had been waiting for surgery for two years and had finally been scheduled. I am fortunate to be able to leave the House in your capable hands, under Marc’s leadership, she wrote. Timing is never ideal for this type of event, she added.
