Quick Question…Let’s say hypothetically there was a fund started...basically following the strategy Obama used of collecting small donations from a large group instead of large from a small group (S/B: that strategy has a fancy name now, crowdfunding, and a whole industry spun off from it). For lack of better term let’s just call it the “Young(ish) Professional Fund”..group of 20s-40s pledging 5-10 dollars a month with proceeds going to infrastructure or similar projects (i.e purchase computers for community center or youth program, refurb a playground, invest in a promising local biz). Actually it’s 2 Questions… 1) Who is a reputable local group capable of maintaining, accounting for and properly distributing said funds? 2) What would have to be in place for you to be involved?
