Quick analysis: Tennant was a clear winner of the debate. Effectively attacked Capitos record, defused the Obama argument, protected her coal record with UMWA endorsement, and hit Capito hard on her banking industry support. Capito still puts all eggs in the Obama basket using every occasion to tie Tennant to the President. She tried to have it both ways on several issues (I like many parts of the Affordable Care Act, but I want to repeal it). I didnt hear any real answer to the in the pocket of Wall Street claims--other than she wishes Tennant wouldnt take personal attacks. HOWEVER, I assume the majority who watched are those who already have a pretty well formed opinion, so I dont know how many minds it actually changed. Its still a ground game. Get out the vote of your supporters.
