Quick check of my news feed and as Im scanning I see this: In Steven Brill’s Walk of Shame, Elizabeth Banks plays a news anchor called Meghan Miles who decides to have a night on the town in order to forget some bad news, and has to deal with the aftermath of a drunken night with the lovely Gordon (James Marsden). The first thing that pops into my mind is the fact that movies like this are made with men as the main character and theyre given titles like The Hangover. But when it features a woman its titled Walk of Shame. I might be over analyzing, and I know the title is based on common slang, but it still sends the message that its funny when men do it, shameful when women do it. #doublestandard
