Quick comment: The recent debate between Ken Ham and Bill Nye was, in many ways, a very poor example of the Christian communitys engagement with science. To begin scientific inquiry with the Bible as the answer to all our questions not only mocks our reasonable faculties, but also presents an incredibly narrow understanding of the interpretation of the first three chapters of Genesis. If you are a Christian, please do not fall into the trap that the Bible is the alpha and omega of all scientific thought. If you are not a Christian, please do not take seriously Ken Hams science, and instead check out someone like John Lennox. Lennoxs debates with Richard Dawkins and Michael Shermer present a better and more cohesive representation of the Christian position on revelation, science, and the topics found in between.
