Quick fix De-stressing Technique: When you are feeling overwhelmed and about to lose your temper with the next person who comes your way, i.e. your family or the parking attendant. Here’s what to do.... Gently hold up your hand to the person in front of you and ask very kindly for 2 minutes. Remove yourself into a quiet room or close the door of the car. Now sit down and relax. Now close your eyes and take in 3 deep breaths. On your out-breath picture all the anger or stress in your body flowing out of your lungs - sometimes you have to force the breath out. On your in breath begin to feel blue coming in. Do this for 2 minutes. Slow , gentle breathing. Now..... rethink the situation. More often than not it is not really what is in front of you that has upset you...but something else.
