Quick summary of the last 2 weeks. 1. Went to movies and turned my phone off for 2 hours for the first time in over a year while Tania stayed home with the boys. By the time I got out of the movie I had a dozen missed calls and Tania was at the emergency room with a sick Fletcher and a flat phone battery leaving me to hunt around the hospitals of Perth looking for my family. Spent next 5 nights taking shifts of not sleeping while holding a very sick baby upright all night long. 2. Planned our first date in over 2 years by hiring our first ever baby sitter. Had to cancel at the last minute because things went wrong at work and I couldnt get home in time. Ordered Chinese food instead so we didnt have to cook... Delivery driver doesnt turn up for work and we had to go pick it up. 3. Tanias phone plays up so much that we finally relented and spent the money to buy her a new one the exact same as mine on sunday. I just happened to have a spare phone cover at work that I could give her when I get home Monday night. Nothing wrong with that... Yet 4. Choke on a piece of chicken at work on Monday and end up in the hospital having surgery to remove it from my esophagus. 5. While Tania is visiting me on Tuesday morning Toby pulls her new phone out of her pocket while shes paying for a parking ticket and drops it, smashing the screen. Spare phone cover still sitting on desk at work. 6. Dogs are so annoyed with us hardly being around for a few days that one shits on the rug in Fletchers nursery and the other jumps up and pisses on our bed. 7. Discharged from hospital so we head to garden city on the way home to try and sort the phone out. Hand over phone to repair place who say it will be 2 hours and come back near closing time. Turn around to find a surf shop on fire and garden city filling with smoke and evacuation alarms ringing. I think thats just about enough now.
