Quiet time alone, contemplation, prayer, music, writing, a centering line of thought or reading, of study or work. It can be physical, intellectual or artistic, any creative life proceeding from oneself. It need not be an enormous project or a great work, but it should be something that is ones own. It could be arranging a bowl of flowers, that gives to the day a quietness, fragrance and a beauty that lingers softly and gently within the crowdedness—like writing a poem, or saying a prayer, or meditating. What matters is that one is, for a period, connecting with the inward source of love, peace, and one’s own unique purpose—so that the outward is made refreshed, renewed, and the masks that hide our beauty begin to peel away, and the light of the source begins to appear and simultaneously shine inward and outward.
