Quilter Artist Spotlight: Micah Pueschel (Iration) irationmusic/ https://facebook/iration https://twitter/IRATION https://youtube/user/Irationlive Micah Pueschel is the guitarist and lead vocalist for the band Iration. He grew up on the Big Island of Hawaii and was immersed in music from a young age. I was really lucky to have a mother with excellent taste in music. Long car rides to school gave me my first introduction to Eric Clapton. His Journeyman album was the first memory of electric guitar i remember having Pueschel didnt pick up the guitar until much later but when he did he fell in love. At age 18 he moved on from the ukulele to guitar and just as soon began writing songs. My first influences were probably pretty similar to most guitar players: Clapton, Page and Mike Campbell as well as more modern and acoustic players like Rivers Cuomo, Beck, and Jack Johnson. I really loved guitar as a means to write and play my favorite songs. Pueschel never had a formal guitar lesson so his style is very much his own. He is a direct representation of his influences and his ear. He plays a Gibson 1960s Classic Gold-Top with A Seymour Duncan 58 humbucker in the neck and a JB in the bridge. Daddario 10-46 strings, and a Quilter Aviator PowerPlant Deluxe head. His quote: The Aviator head gives me the versatility I need as a reggae/rock guitarist as well as the consistency of sound in multiple venues. As a full-time touring musician that is priceless.
