Quit always trying to make God decide your future. You determine. - TopicsExpress

Quit always trying to make God decide your future. You determine. You choose to go His way. You could have gone to hell. We want to lay our world down, and say, “No, I dont want to do anything. I want God to choose for me.” No, it is like Jesus said, Not My will, but Your will be done. He doesnt want your will to disappear. God wants you to take your will and lineup it with His will, and use your will to accomplish His will. We think that God wants us to be puppets on a string. As an exaggeration, I will give you the following example. Lets say you are pushing your shopping cart through Wal-Mart, and while we do this we pray, “Oh God, use me.” All of the sudden a sick person walks by you, and you are just minding your own business, but what you want is for God to take your hand, and throw it on to that sick person, because when that happens, you will know that God wants you to pray for that person. If you know that, you will be so solid you will think it is Gods will. There will be no faith involved whatsoever in that incident. Why, because God gave you too much physical evidence. He showed you too much about that person. He wants you to choose by your will, to be obedient to His Word, and that is faith when you act on that Word, without any physical evidence at all. No tingling, no unction, nothing. The less feeling there is, the more faith there is; the more feeling, the less faith. So quit asking God for a sign. Quit putting out fleeces. It isnt that they dont work. But you are taking a chance. Obey the Word. Do what the Word of God says. Charles Finney said his job was to find the rocks that Christians hide behind and destroy the rocks and leave them standing naked before God. That is my job.
