Quite a few people seem to think it would have been better to wait until the autumn for the St Martins Hill closure. I worry about what could happen between now and then - might we not get another landslip, and maybe more loss of life and property, especially with a wet summer? So Im glad the work is starting - but I agree with Armand and Edwina that we all need to unite as a town and make the very best of a bad job over the summer.
