Quite a few people seem upset at this, however, if one ponders the archetypical Pirate, calling oneself a “Pirate” a profession that is typically an act of robbery or criminal violence on the high seas. Then clearly the odd brush with the law would be expected, in fact, goes some way toward glamorising the romantic view of criminal activity, historically in some cases encouraged by society via its Kings and Queens. Therefore, those modern day nerdy pirates should be celebrating, you’re goal, or at least part of it has been achieved, or did you think it was all just swashbuckling glamour, swinging from ropes, saying “Argg Harr” now and then and swigging rum whilst counting your booty?
