Quite interested in your reaction to this: I think that we can all agree that there are too many managers fired too quickly in football today. How Alan Pardew managed a stay of execution most of us will never know, but he has and it seems he is now turning the corner (perhaps temporarily but we hope not). Is he proof that an owner who keeps faith in the long term and doesnt react even in the medium term is better for football? Do we allow MA to make long term decisions and not get on the managers or his back too quickly or will one defeat mean we are all up in arms again? Basically I realise that most reading this will still want both Pardew and Ashley out of our club (and I think so do I)... but I am trying to be slightly objective and see the other side... Does an owner who brought us to financial stability (albeit whilst making some massive errors of judgement) deserve some more patience and faith that he actually has the best interests of the club at heart, rather than just the financial bottom line (or else why bother turning up at every games, home and away)? Also, does a manager who has had a few good times at our club, on a shoestring for the majority of it (also having made some massive mistakes) deserve more support when he makes the completely wrong tactical decisions or has a period of bad results? Like I said, I am interested in your opinion - please dont abuse me for asking you about your view! NUFC Forever.
