R I P Lou Reed... His band The Velvet Underground were the very early traces of what would eventually lead up to be the punk movement... An interesting fact I read somewhere is that Lou Reed actually openly dated a transgender woman for a while... Quite a few of his songs also had transgender references (possibly even inspired by this woman he dated) so it looks like he managed to break down more than a few barriers in his lifetime... I think Ill play Transformer today in his honor.
