R.I.P. Scott Asheton (middle left in the picture, with The Stooges). 1949-2014. Best known as the drummer for The Stooges, he and his brother Ron rejoined their old partner Iggy Pop to bring the Stooges alive again in the new century (in betweein he played in numerous bands with Scott Morgan and in Sonics Rendezvous Band) after a nearly 30-year split. Scott had suffered a stroke in 2011, but recovered enough to pick up his drumsticks again for the newest Stooges disc Ready To Die, but his health had been deteriorating for some time, and with his passing, only Iggy remains from the original Stooges lineup. A sad day indeed.
