R.I.P. Stuart Scott. one of my all-time favourite sportscasters and news anchors. ESPN has always been such a huge part of my life and i grew up watching this guy. he was not a professional athlete, but he was a star ‘cause he presented sports news in such an entertaining way. he had the voice, catchphrases, and flair, but most important, he had such a genuine enthusiasm for sports. you always felt like he was one of us and you could tell that he got just as excited and amazed over incredible plays or spectacular games as all of his viewers. last july, he famously said “when you die, it does not mean you lose to cancer, you beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and in the manner in which you live.” powerful words from a man who i always thought was “as cool as the other side of the pillow.” there is no one else like stuart scott on tv. the sports world will never be the same without him.
