RACISM: (This message is born due to our Bible Study class-with people from USA, South Africa, UK, Kenya, Rwanda-God bless them all). WHAT IS RACISM? The Idea that certain races of mankind are naturally superior to other. Late Sir Martin Luther King Jr is known for his good work of fight racism by message of peace. The idea of racism is not new. The Samaritan woman was surprised that Jesus, a Jew, asked her for a drink of water,"For Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans" ( John 4:9, cf. Neh. 4:1-2). HISTORY:In ancient History, Babylonians, Romans, and Greeks killed people of other races so that they could reign supreme. We have also heard of Adolph Hitler and his henchmen killed millions of Jews due to such an Ideology. RECENTLY: In most recent times, in some parts of the world for example,we have heard that white people have detested, mistreated, and downgraded blacks. The blacks, on the other hand, have hated, despised, and fought the whites. In some instances there seems to be no thought of equality on either side of the conflict. Racism reigns to our utter shame. THE BIBLE:God loves all people without discrimination (John 3:16). God commanded His people to take the Gospel to all people without distinction (Acts 1:8, Mtt 28:18-20). When one of any race, color, or nationality gets saved from his sins he is forgiven and is written in ONE Book of life. Sinners who will never get saved will go to one hell also; In both groups none is given divine preference, one over the other. Amen. "For ye are all the children of God by Faith in Christ Jesus....There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free... for ye are all ONE in Christ Jesus" (Gal. 3:26,28). CONCLUSION:Wherever we live, We have to ask ourselves: Is Racism still a problem here? What should I do to stop it beginning right from my own heart? Racism reigns to our utter shame and should be stopped. Pray about it, encourage love of God, and show good example. Let us say a big NO to Racism. Amen and amen. Edson.
