►RAJA MUZAFAR ALI◄ SRINAGAR A Mental Health Gap training programme was launched at Regional Institute of Health and Family welfare Dhobiwan Monday. As per a statement this programme has been launched for the first time in India and a team of 14 specialists, WHO validated trainers from UK have been deputed by Royal College of Psychiatry London to train primary care physicians, psychologists, social workers, nurses, NGOs, teachers and police personals. The programme was conceptualized by Dr Sayed Aqeel Hussain member of Royal College of Psychiatry London and Coordianter of this programme at international level. Dr Hussain was supported by Dr Muzaffar Director Police De-addiction Services at state level, reads the statement. It further reads that this programme received technical assistance and support from WHO Geneva and was locally sponsored and supported by Help foundation J&K, J&K Bank, J&K Police, Action Aid India and TCI Cements.
