RANDOM THOUGHTS OF A FEEBLE MIND: THOUGHT: These hoards of illegals are pushing our population out of control. FACT: according to the Bureau of the Census the largest population growth took place between 1800-1910 hovering right at 32% annually. Since WWII the largest spurt in population growth took place between 1950-1960 at 18.2% as those coming back from the war married. The estimated growth for 2014 is 2.4%. The population growth slowed tremendously from 1970-2010 due to the necessity of both parents working outside the home and the rise of the feminist movement. The largest spurt since WWII a occurred between 2000-2010 at 13.2%. This was due to the attempted counting of illegals for the first time. Does this take into account illegals? Yes, to some extent as their growth was best guesstimates. The 2010 census was the best measure as census employees actually went door to door all across the country counting legals as well as illegals. Is it very accurate? Of course not...any more than any country is capable of complete accuracy. THOUGHT: were all getting tired of push 1 for English etc. It has brought racism back into the mix with a vengeance and were soon to be a minority majority. NO FACT BUT POSSIBLE SOLUTION: there is no way to deport the estimated 20 million plus of illegals currently residing here. They have become so integrated that our economy would suffer if we deported them all as, for the most part, they are taking jobs that natural-born Americans feel are beneath them. At the same time they are costing us an estimated $500 million/year in schooling, Medicaid, welfare etc as well as the loss of money they send back to their native countries to help support their relatives. Its virtually impossible to fence/protect over 10,000 miles of borders around our country. So what to do? We have to accept some realities. Those that are here have to be assimilated LEGALLY and provided a path to citizenship. If they dont want U.S. citizenship then out the door they go. We shouldnt be expected to support them monetarily while they are a financial drain on our economy. So how do we do it? We beef up border patrols and forget this ridiculously expensive idea of fencing. All it takes is wire cutters or tunneling to defeat that. The problem now is everything must be done legally to deport the new arrivals and, with the HUGE backlog, its taking up to to two years to accomplish that. The simplest and least expensive way to handle deportations would be to establish specialized deportation courts whose ONLY responsibility is just that. Bring judges out of retirement, lease office space to the extent that deportation occurs within two weeks of them being arrested/detained. There are already specialized defense lawyers to represent these illegals so too must we have a specialized legal system in place, fully trained, to rapidly deport these illegals. Are there holes in my suggestion? Sure. But I believe it the easiest to accomplish if we REALLY want to deport these illegals and send a clear message that anyone wanting to enter our country must do so legally. We are already legally admitting one million/year....by FAR the most generous immigration policy in the world.
