RANT: I get really irritated when my friends (or I do- Im guilty, too) excuse a guys lack of leadership and initiative by pursuing him or investing everything into a relationship when the guy is investing the absolute minimum. A friend asked me what to do in this situation, and Im sharing because I think my lady friends can benefit from hearing this. Darling (insert your name here), you are worth pursuing. If he puts his hands on you and hasnt engaged your mind and respected your boundaries, he is TRULY not worth your time. You are beautiful, yes, but you are not a beautiful object. You have intellect and emotions, and a man should not be allowed to put his hands on your body until he has fully respected (and not manipulated) aforementioned intellect and emotions. For my Christian ladies, your standards should be even higher. It is not enough if he goes to church on Sunday. Does he respect his family? Does he respect his peers? Does he respect the waitstaff at the restaurant he just took you to? Is he kind? Is he intentional (but not manipulative) with his words? Is he teachable? Does he read his Bible? There are a million questions. It is not enough that he is a good guy. // End rant
