RANT: OK, so when the new Sam’s Club opens in front of Super Walmart (scheduled for November 16, I believe) and we have all this Christmas shopping traffic (does Black Friday scare anyone as much as me – not that I’ve ever been… online fine for me!) – where, pray tell, are people supposed to park??? I see they have shuttle service over there somewhere for factory outlet. OK, so not sure about you – but here is my opinion (even if you didn’t ask for it, ha ha!) WHY are they cramping all of these stores and restaurants into this teeny little block and Military Road? Some of that property IS Niagara Falls (the Walmart side) and here is my take. Over by the casino, where the old DMV used to be, and the water park, and all that barren wasted land – WHY OH WHY aren’t some of these stores going there? Now realizing that the Casino is a hopping place, and people cross that border every second every day – wouldn’t it make sense to build up that portion of Niagara Falls? It is a TOURIST attraction, yet when tourists ask where are the restaurants and shopping – they have to head on out to the Town of Niagara end which is already an endless stream of chaos most hours of any day. And consider this – what about the employees who have to work at these stores and want to be on time? They have to go 45 minutes earlier than the start of their shift. Trust me – they are more concerned that most of us! Am I the only one SMH who doesn’t get it??? Hmmmm??? I’m hearing a lot of chatter from people who work in this area (some with me) who run out to the stores or restaurants on lunch hour (lunch ‘hour’ now takes ‘two’) and are as frustrated as me. Some live out Amherst-way and used to think NF Boulevard was a happening place – until they saw the cluster-*$^!#@#!% Military Road is now. And so I would ALSO like to know – once you do manage to get IN to the Walmart/Sam’s Club lot – with only ONE main entrance/exit – how LONG do you think it’s gonna take to get out??? Seriously WFT and all that stuff? !! WHYEEE? All that land in ghost town Niagara Falls, yet for some reason, all stores have to go in one spot… I have recently discovered, Lockport is busy too – but a heck of a lot nicer place to shop and by the time you get in and out of the parking lots here – you can drive to Lockport and back!!! So that’s my rant for the day, and I think it’s a darn good one. Now I know most of you are ‘all about progress’, but this is friggin ridiculous. It’s not ‘progress’, it’s feeding time at the shark zoo!!! I do not get it, but with a heart that belongs somewhere in Mayberry, is it any surprise to anyone that I’m getting more freaked out by the minute. Love my Sam’s Club. Please let it stay where it is!!! At least until I’m too old to care which at this rate, is rapidly approaching… ugh!!!
