RANT TIME..Im concerned for the future of our nation and heres why; For the One Direction concert I specifically bought seat in the first section off the floor in the first row on the railing so no one could block Lexis view. What I did not anticipate was that being in seats 1 & 2 put us on the aisle where we would encounter not 1 but several very rude girls & woman who felt it was their right to stand in said aisle blocking our view. I asked several people to move, receiving the FU look from many teenagers but my favorite interaction went something like this...with a mother. Me: (gently taping the mothers arm) Excuse me Im going to have to ask you to move back I cant see. (This is the first concert in my life I have ever sat down at) The *itch: Everyone is standing up Me: Thats fine, you can go back to your seats and stand up, I paid the price for these seats so that we could see. At which point I motioned to my neck brace thinking that she would understand the situation. The *itch: You should have bought seats in the handicap section! Me: flabbergasted by her audacity and stunned for a moment Excuse me?! Im sure you can imagine my tone The *itch: You should be in the handicap section! Me: Do you have difficulty with kindness and compassion? The banter got a bit more heated and went back and forth for several minutes. But it didnt phase her in the least! All in front of her own daughter and mine. She turned away and ignored me holding her ground for about 10 minutes while I contemplated the hike back up the 45 exhausting rows to get security when her and her daughter finally move up 1 step allowing me to see. I reach out and touch her arm Me: Thank you The *itch: HANDICAP SEATING she yells back at me & they remained there the entire concert! UNFREAKINGBELIEVABLE! Now let me tell you just briefly about the young girl in the seat behind me who elbowed me in the head and hit me with her blow up glow stick more times then I can count, who thought it was okay to rest her leg on the back of my seat, who I polity asked to be careful several times. Do you think her mother ever once said anything to her or apologized to me. Im sure you know the answer. What is our world coming to? Disgusted and disappointed by society!
