RCFP time. This week I want to highlight a bloke who is probably one of the bravest and yet most humble of men. His beloved lad was involved in some sort of accident quite a few years ago, and is now disabled. He is confined to a wheelchair and needs constant care. His Dad has fulfilled this role, and he writes on FB about his boy from time to time. He asks for no sympathy or favours, he just likes to let his friends in here know about his son.....the triumphs and the setbacks, the pain and the laughter, the joys and the sadness. This bloke has had quite a few setbacks of his own healthwise, but he writes of these only because they affect the way he can care for his boy. Not that any sort of old injury or issue will stop him. That just is not an option. The obvious love and compassion and incredible loyalty that this bloke shows towards his lad is truly remarkable. A lot of men may have shied away, may have decided that it is just all too hard. I have no idea how I would react in the same circumstances, but I would have no finer role model than this man. His is a wonderful illustration of how all of us should behave, with dignity and kindness and humility. It is terrific to have come to know his story. So, cheers to a fine young man, his son...and to his Dad, a man who can only be described as a real hero......Tom Murray, you are a Really Cool Facebook Person.
