I bought this mare as a 2 year old, kept her for 5 years, put lots of training on her and raised two foals out of her. I sold her to my neighbor 5 years ago. He raised one foal out of her as well. He rode her once a year on trail over those 5 years. She is in pasture condition(pic is current) When fit this mare is huge! She was a aqha futurity champion as a yearling! She had hunter training up to 23, Western pleasure training, and barrel training! She is SAFE! Perfect first horse, husband horse, confidence builder, or just a safe partner! I brought her back to my place and saddled her up. She rode off just as safe as usual. Cruised a couple barrel patterns on her as well. I took her on a 4.5 mile trail ride also. She lunges, bathes, ties, loads, hauls, clips (ears included, no twitch). Very very sweet mare!!!!! No mare attitude, lowest in pecking order, no habits!!! The negative.. She needs canter work! 5 years ago when she was in shape and cantered regularly and the muscles were built up she could canter ok. Currently in pasture condition she can only hold her canter a short period of time. Canters best when collected. She just needs to be legged back up (5 years to pasture) and kept in a canter to build her back up. She walks, trots, and runs without issues! With that said she is best suited for a trail horse or someone willing to get her back in shape and take her to the show pen! I will continue to ride her until sold and she will continue to improve.
