READ THE WORD IN YOUR BIBLE By Daniel Robert Evans Hosea 4:6 (KJV) 6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. Where do we find the Knowledge of God ? In the WORD of God ! Matthew 4:4 (KJV) 4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every WORD that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. The true ignorance that some people both christian and non christian have of the WORD of God in the Bible is completely astounding to me. Time after time I hear self proclaiming christians who know nothing about what the WORD says at all or have Twisted Verses to suit their own needs in unrightousness or in true ignorance because of a lazy attitude towards spending even a mere few minutes a day in the Word. The only people who really have an excuse is new Born Again christians and if they are indeed a New Creation in Christ then the Spirit of God will put a hunger in them for the WORD of God. John 1:14 (KJV) 14 And the WORD was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. How can you call your self a Christian or a Child of God and a Servant of Jesus Christ the Son of God if you have no hunger for His WORD at all EVER? Is your God , your Redeemer , your Salvation so unimportant to you that you cast away His Flesh and Spirit with no after thought at all and also then use your empathy and sheer ignorance of the WORD to lead others in half truths mixed with your own vain imaginations as you blindly lead your self and others into a ditch as a Blind Guide does? James 1:22(KJV) 22 But be ye doers of the WORD, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. The most important thing we can do after we are saved by the Blood of the Lamb is to read the WORD of God because Hebrews 4:12 says For the WORD of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Jesus Christ is the WORD made Flesh and the Life of God is in the WORD of God as well as in Us in the form of the Born Again Spirit we are given so we can Hold the things of God. We need to feed ourselves , our Spirits, Minds and Souls real Truth to be continually washed and taught the Mind of God and Nature of God. Jesus prayed in John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy WORD is truth. We also know that 2 Timothy 3:16 says All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: Luke 11:28 (KJV) 28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the WORD of God, and keep it. We all as Christians Must set time aside to be with the Lord even if its only a few minutes a day. That time we spend in the WORD and prayer is essential in order for us to Grow in the exceedingly excellent knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and the Awesome Kingdom of God. Psalm 119:11 (KJV) 11 Thy WORD have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. I know that we all go through seasons in our life where things change in our walk with the Lord and also sometimes life and the cares of this world choke out the time we spend with the Lord but if you want to deepen your relationship with God through Christ Jesus then just ask the Father of Life in the Holy Spirit to grant you a hunger for the WORD and Spirit of the Living God. I PROMISE you that if you ask the Lord for a hunger for His Spirit, Word and Truth in all things that He will gladly grant you these things with great Joy and Zeal in His Heart because Jesus said in Luke 12:31-32 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Fear not, little flock; for it is your Fathers GOOD PLEASURE to give you the kingdom.. Wow that brings me such Joy and Peace to know that its HIS Good Pleasure to add the things to us freely that will bring us into a closer more intimate walk with Him. Psalm 119:105 (KJV) 105 Thy WORD is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. If we want More of the Spirit of God and really want the Spirit of God to show up in POWER when we minister the Word and Pray for others then we need to be closer to the Heart of God in all we do, say and the way we act each day in the world around us. The only way we can become more Christ Like is to be in the WORD and let is Wash and Teach us as the Spirit in the WORD ministers to us and heals our soul. Also do you want to be the man or woman of God who stumbles with the WORD or do you want to be the Son or Daughter of the Most High who can handle the Word of the Almighty God with great Boldness and Zeal when the Time comes? Truly I say that choice is yours to make but as for me and my house we will serve the Lord. If you are a Servant and Slave to Jesus Christ then we need to work for the Lord with much more Love and an attitude of greatness in service in all we do for Him and that means spending Time in the WORD for it is written in Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. I put this question to you. Can you really Love God with out Loving the WORD of God? Also we are told in Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Another great reason to read the WORD is that you will not be deceived into wrong doctrine and demonic teachings if you know the WORD for your self but can Stand on the ROCK of Truth in the day of testing. Jeremiah 20:9 (KJV) 9 Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his WORD was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay. I have heard many people state how do we know the right Way to live? or what is Truth anymore? In this day and age where the worlds changing so quickly and every single system of this world and for this world is ever increasing against Christ Jesus and Truth as it leads all the children of Wrath faster and faster into destruction and the Pit of spiritual death , we who are called the Saints and Ministers of God must be able to at least show them that there is hope in the Truth through scripture that Jesus Christ is who He says He is and in Him is Life Everlasting. How can we show and prove these things unless we study the WORD of God that shows through prophetic revelation that the things written of therein the Word have come to pass if we do not know ourselves? The ONLY way to be able to show others with complete Truth is to be able to lead them to the WORD and if we ourselves cannot do that because of pride and lazyness then we need to be ashamed of ourselves and MUST repent to the Lord and ask for help and grace from on high. For it is written in James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. And in 1 Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Jesus Christ the very WORD of God said in John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. So how can we lead people to Christ if we do not know Christ? The Only way to know Christ is to READ about Christ and the only place where pure truth is found is in the pure WORD of God found Only in the Bible. Matthew 24:35 (KJV) 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my WORDS shall not pass away. Lets therefore be encouraged and Zealous about spending time in the WORD of God and Zealous about our brothers and sisters in the Lord who encourage us to a deeper walk in the Truth and Light of the Pure WORD of the Lord and let us encourage others to spend time in the WORD . Psalm 12:6 King James Version (KJV) 6 The WORDS of the Lord are pure WORDS : as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Also Romans 10:17 (KJV) 17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the WORD of God. Amen and come back soon Lord Jesus Christ
