***READER NEEDS ADVICE**** NO BASHING!!! Hi Ive been a member of your group since I found out my partner of 21 years and father to my three girls had been cheating on me for 5 months. We met very young and have had a lot of problems in our relationship as a result of this. My partner hasnt been the best boyfriend or father but I never thought he would betray me like he has. Things had become really bad he was out drinking with his much younger friends almost every night and inviting them back to our family home for more drinks until the early hours of the morning. I obviously took huge issue with this, especially as we have a teenage daughter who was often kept awake by their noise. We would argue constantly and I asked him to leave many a time...one day he came home said he had somewhere to go and left. He was gone 5 days and then returned telling us how much he missed us and wanted to change etc. I gave him another chance not knowing that he met someone in a bar during his few days away and had started a relationship with her. This relationship went on behind my back for 5 months....I had no idea what was going on because he didnt go out a lot any more and I was always able to contact him I later found out that this was because she knew all about me and his children and was happy to be the other woman. When I found out about them they hadnt seen each other for over a month but the girl was still texting asking to meet up. We have been trying to work through this and he has been a different person he is now behaving like a devoted father and partner and has been for a few months . He has been shockingly honest with me about what has gone on and we have started to communicate again which is great....However, during our date night this weekend we went to a local bar and I bumped into a mutual friend who introduced me to a group of local girls she was with. My partner knows some of these girls as they live locally and he would of met them on the nights out he had with his friends in the past. My friend then came and sat with us along with her partner and the group of girls I had just been introduced to sat at a table nearby. A bit later in the evening my partner is at the bar talking to a couple of these girls and suddenly presents them with a bottle of champagne as it is one of the girls 21st Birthday ( we are both 36 ) he receives his thank you kisses and then comes back to our table with another bottle of champagne. I am really annoyed as he never buys champagne and I feel he did it to show off and impress these girls. He tells me he brought them the drink for me as they are my friends but although I know of them It was the first time I had spoken to them. It was my birthday a few weeks ago and we went out with my real friends and no one got champagne then !!! I guess I am wondering if I am being a little over sensitive as a result of his betrayal...I am a 36 year old mum of three and feel pathetic for worrying about a group of young 20 yr olds.
