REAL TALK: Self Awareness (Pathway to Happiness) “There comes a time when you look into the mirror and you realize that what you see is all that you will ever be. And then you accept it. Or you stop looking in mirrors.” ― Tennessee Williams What is meant by Self Awareness? Self Awareness is having a clear perception of your personality, including strengths, weaknesses, thoughts, beliefs, motivation, and emotions. Self Awareness allows you to understand other people, how they perceive you, your attitude and your responses to them in the moment. Also, Self Awareness is the first step in creating what you want and mastering yourself. Where you focus your attention, your emotions, reactions, personality and behavior determine where you go in life. Having self awareness allows you to see where your thoughts and emotions are taking you. It allows you to see the controls you have of your emotions, behavior, and personality so you can make changes as needed. Until you are aware of in the moment lack of controls of your thoughts, emotions, words, and behavior, you will have difficulty making changes in the right direction of your life.
