REAR-FACING IS SAFEST!! After doing a lot of research when Lucas was 2 years, I decided to turn his car seat back to rear-facing & he stayed that way until he was 4 years. Yes, 4 years old & sitting indian-style!! Sam is almost 2-1/2 years & he is still rear-facing. Winter is tough because of boots & wet, snowy shoes, but I simple slip off their shoes/boots when necessary & place them on the floor until we arrive at our destination. Many may think this is extreme, as our society is in a hurry to turn our childrens car seats. But I see it as a small inconvenience at times for a world of piece of mind....as no one can replace my childrens life, if I dont do my very best to protect it. Just a thought for my mommy-friends...
