REASONS WHY SO MANY DIFFERENT SO CALLED CHRISTIAN CHURCHES HAVING DIFFERING DOCTRINES EXIST IN THE WORLD TODAY AND WHAT ONE CAN DO SO THAT HE OR SHE WILL NOT BECOME A VICTIM OR WILL BE FREE FROM THE BONDAGE OF COUNTERFEIT CHRISTIANITY (Isaiah 56:11 - Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough; and they are shepherds who cannot understand. They all look to their own way, every one for his gain, to his own end). Many religious leaders of so called christian churches today can be likened to the shepherds or pastors described by prophet Isaiah above. 1. They are greedy dogs which can never have enough. They continue to enrich themselves through tithes and offerings of their members and by soliciting contributions from people who are not among their members. The proof is that they indulge in luxuries in life and acquire posh properties. Some even have mansions and palaces, private jet planes and helicopters. Whereas Jesus Christ commanded His disciples; (Matthew 6:19 Do not lay up treasures on earth for yourselves, where moth and rust corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal). Furthermore, apostle Paul wrote; (1Timothy 6:9 But they who will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts which plunge men into destruction and perdition). 2. They are shepherds who cannot understand. They are pastors who preach the name of Jesus Christ but not His untarnished Gospel. St. Paul was an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God; (Ephesians 1:1- Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints who are in Ephesus, and faithful in Christ Jesus). He was made a minister of the gospel; (Ephesians 3:7 - Of this gospel I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effectual working of His power). He received the gospel and learned of it through revelation of Jesus Christ; (Galatians 1:11-12 - And, brothers, I make known to you the gospel which was preached by me, that it is not according to man. For I did not receive it from man, nor was I taught it except by a revelation of Jesus Christ). He defined the gospel in the following verses; • (Romans 1:16-17) - For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, as it is written, "The just shall live by faith." • (Ephesians 1:13) - in whom also you, hearing the Word of Truth, the gospel of our salvation, in whom also believing, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, • (1Corinthians 15:1-2) - And, brothers, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you have received, and in which you stand; by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. • (Philippians 1:27) - Only let your conduct be as becomes the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you, or else am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, striving together with one mind for the faith of the gospel, Before the end comes, the gospel will be preached in all the world; (Matthew 24:14 - And this gospel of the kingdom shall be peached in all the world as a witness to all nations. And then the end shall come). Now observe the many pastors of today. Listen to them. They do not preach the gospel. They use the name of Jesus Christ but preach their own ideas without reference to the Bible. Once in a while they quote Bible verse and then provide their own interpretation. They cannot understand the Word of Truth. 3. They all look to their own way, every one for his gain, to his own end. The Lord Jesus Christ is the Way (John 14:6 - Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but by Me). The Lord God through Jesus Christ built a church which St. Paul called the church of God wherein the gospel of Christ is being taught and practiced as a way to salvation; (Matthew 16:18 - And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 1Corinthians 12:28 - And God set some in the church, firstly, apostles; secondly, prophets; thirdly, teachers, then works of power, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, kinds of languages. 2Corinthians 1:1- Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, to the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints who are in all Achaia." 1Timothy 3:15 - But if I should delay, that you may know how you ought to behave in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth. When St. Paul was not yet a Christian but in Judaism, he persecuted the church of God which he referred to as this Way; (Acts 22:4 - I persecuted this Way as far as death, binding and delivering both men and women into prisons; Galatians 1:13 - For you heard my manner of life when I was in Judaism, that I persecuted the church of God with surpassing zeal, and ravaged it). Therefore, the church of God is a Way, being the body of Jesus Christ; (Colossians 1:18 - And He is the Head of the body, the church, who is the Beginning, the First-born from the dead, that He may be pre-eminent in all things). Now, instead of walking in Jesus Christ as the Way, (Colossians 2:6 - Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him), or joining the church of God to have fellowship with the Christians in the Bible, (1John 1:3 - that which we have seen and heard we declare unto you, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ), the pastors of today look to their own way by building their own churches. Everyone to his own gain. That is why there are so many so called christian churches today preaching counterfeit Christianity. What one can do so that he or she will not become a victim or be free from the bondage of counterfeit Christianity? The key is by knowing and understanding and obeying the Word of Truth which is the Gospel of Christ. The Lord God calls people to have fellowship with Him and His son and the church of God through the gospel (2Thessalonians 2:14-15 - to which He called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my brothers, stand fast and hold the teachings which you have been taught, whether by word or by our letter. John 8:31-32 - Then Jesus said to the Jews who believed on Him, If you continue in My Word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
