REBUKE THE DEVIL A man was owing a notorious man a huge amount of money and so this notorious man keeps tormenting this man everyday; he will come every day and ask this man, ‘where is my money?’ and when the man will beg him saying ‘I don’t have it yet, please mercy’, this notorious man will be using different style of punishments on him, today he will boil water and pour on him, tomorrow he will tie him up and flog him etc. One day, a man living in a far away city receives news of what has been happening to this man and couldn’t bear see this man pass through all those punishment the notorious man brings to him sent to the notorious man a check paying all what his neighbor owes. But this notorious wouldn’t stop coming to punish this man for the pleasure it gives him. He continued punishing the man knowing that this man didn’t know that his bills had been paid. But one day, this man received a message from the man that paid his bills, saying, ‘your bills has been paid, don’t let him punish you again’. By the time this notorious man was coming to punish him, this man was waiting with his weapon on his gate and thus ended the harassment. Children of God are suffering because of they are ignorant that Christ has paid their debts and they therefore owe the devil nothing except to stand firm on the fact that they owe the devil no more and rebuke him. It pleases the devil that you are ignorant of the debt Christ paid for you so that he pleasures himself by harassing you.
