RECENT GLOBAL ASSESSMENT – AFTER INVASION OF ROOKEE PEOPLE IN FACULTY OF CIVIL ENGG, THE IIT KANPUR HAS SLIPPED FROM 1ST TO 3RD PLACE AFTER DELHI AND BOMBAY. Brave is Hon’ble Madras High Court who ordered a CBI enquiry for over-decade long illegal faculty appointments of IIT Madras. In utter contrast are Hon’ble Courts dealing with Roorkee University (now, IIT) who did not quash illegal faculty appointments, ordering a CBI enquiry is a far off courage, despite the fact that this oldest higher technical Institute had extremely large number of non-PhD professors (well over a dozen in its once famous Civil Engg Deptt. which also had the largest percentage of faculty of one particular caste, a very abnormal situation for an Institute of higher technical learning) who could never earn a PhD degree or publish any significant research papers in their entire academic lives. On top of this, the HighCourt directed this Institution to make selections on the basis of merit but the same hon. court did not consider it contempt when their order was disobeyed, also in many other selections. Further, the High Court dismissed as not-pressed writ-petitions seven-at-a-go and vacated decade long stay on the basis of counsel’s statement (without producing any affidavit of the client) that his client is not interested in pursuing. The Hon. Apex court was pleased to toss-over the in-person SLP of this stay vacation. And later, the junior counsel, son of the senior counsel, was appointed a hon. Justice of this hon. high-court. This oldest Institute (fittest to start a M.Tech programme in Manipulative Technology) has unparallel might/powers of all kinds and habitual expert of manipulations of all kinds at all levels like passing a twice failed student, removal of examiner to benefit its favorites, bold false-statements even in affidavits, etc. This anti-academic and anti-progress Institution did not allow research projects (including offer from US Defense) to a faculty who brought this Institution, the maximum and unparallel academic glories of various kinds despite an extremely severe sabotage of his research/teaching activities forcing him to make dozens of WPs to remedy numerous illegalities/actions devoid of natural-justice. Merit has no place in India that’s why much smaller but merit-minded neighbors outsmart us in sports, diplomacy, cleverness, administration, justice, etc. despite our largest population of hard working highly qualified intelligent personnel in almost all disciplines on a world basis. The hon. Nainital HighCourt accepted this Institutions repeated versions (to evade answers) that information pertaining to the events of 1994 were more than 20 years old in 2006, vide WP726/08. But in our nation (lion to its citizens but cow to all foreign countries), there can hardly be some hon. Court or legal luminary to pursue this a suo-motto notice/PIL or legal-reform against the said mammoth-powerful Institution. AN OLD SAYING – A COUNTRY OR ORGANISATION WHICH DOES NOT RESPECT ITS LEARNED PEOPLE OR GIVE JUSTICE TO ITS PEOPLE GETS RUINED SOONER OR LATER.
