RED ALERT: THE WORLD IS RUNNING OUT OF CHOCOLATE!!! The worlds biggest chocolate maker says people are eating more chocolate than the world is producing. Supply barely kept up with demand this year. In recent years drought, disease, huge demand from new markets, and reduced planting of cocoa beans has led to shorter and shorter supplies. Experts say supply will fall a million tons short of demand every decade for the foreseeable future unless something is done. And cocoa-growers are working on it. Growers and scientists in Costa Rica are developing a new variety.
