REFORM #12: Grant transportation allowance for entering freshmen from distant provinces! Aside from tuition, another barrier for many high school graduates who decide against enrolling in UP is geographic distance. Thus, instead of using meager economic resources in transportation to go to Manila, potential UP students would rather take higher education at a nearer local college or university. To democratize access to the University, transportation allowance for entry should be granted to requesting freshmen. Indeed, no student should be deprived of education in UP due to financial incapacity AND reasons other than academic aptitude, such as geographic distance. #ReformSTFAPnow
